Hey

I've got a 95 Z28 and when I shift into 6th gear and try to accelerate, the transmission shakes terribly. It feels like the car is about to fall apart. It doesn't happen in any other gear or speed, just when I shift into 6th and accelerate. It's fine when I'm in 6th and let the accelerator off and coast. Any ideas?

How fast are you going when you put it in sixth? If you're putting it in sixth below highway speeds, like during around town driving, it's possibly the engine chugging and lugging that you feel.

 

Im having that same problem with my camaro but it only has started recently would anything to do with a leaking exhaust have anything to do with this shake also my oil pressure gauge starts at right under 80 than after driving it for a while it goes down below half what do you think is the problem please help

 

I found that 6th gear on the 4th gens was rarely appropriate unless traveling around 80mph. My wife's (previously my brothers) 95 Formula LT1 did the same exact thing..so I know what you mean.
