Question SS Front Springs on an '02 V6?

I am thinking of putting '02 SS Front Springs on an '02 RS (V6)? For 98-02 the rear springs are the same between SS & V6, but the SS has stiffer fronts -- anyone see any downsides to going this route?

V8 front springs on a lighter weight V6 front end? Expect the ride height to go up.

Question

Hmm, anyone have the car weight numbers handy? It can't be too much lighter -- the LS1 is aluminum, the 3800 is not...

Looks like the 3800 Series II is 392 lbs, and LS1 is 409 lbs out of the crate! What am I missing?

For comparison on the 02: curb weight on the V6 model is 3322, and the Z28 is 3432.
Unless you can think of where they may have added 110 lbs. from the firewall back, I'd say the difference is under the hood.
