Rear end bottoms out and tearing up my tires

Car is a 98, it has a eibach lowering kit with BMR lower control arms. I do need to get a adjustable panyard bar to re-alighn the rear end after the drop. If I have someone sitting in the back seat and I hit a bump my tires bottom out on my fender wells which cuts the outer edge of the tires. I was thinking maybe a set of performance shocks with higher valving, but I want something that will also help me plant the rear end and hook up at the strip. Most shocks that allow the front to lift alittle such as 60/40 50/50 on summit and jegs are not for street use. I was thinking of maybe KONI or Bilisteine but they are more suited to road tracking and this car wont be tracked that way. It is my daily driver and weekend strip car. thanks

Yes, you need the adjustable panhard rod. There may be less of a chance of the tires hitting the bodywork once they are centered properly. I don't think shocks are going to do much for your bottoming problem. Make sure the jounce bumpers are still attached to the body, or you may want to find some taller ones to stop the axle from moving up so much.

RE: Rear end bottoms out and tearing up my tires

thanks for the post, when the car is on level ground the axel seems to be straight but if it is in my drive way that is slightly uphill the passenger side tire sits further outside the fenderwell then the drivers side which seems to be pulled inside the fender well. Also the ride hight alters so that I can get 3 fingers between the tire and quarter panel on the passenger side while I can fit my fist on the drivers side. I really hope it just that the car doesnt have a panhard bar. Car drives straight.
