NEW REAR SWAY BAR, OPINIONS WANTED

Hey guys, i have a 94 with some suspension work done to it in the front. Now i'm moving to the back. Is a 1"/25mm rear sway bar the biggest? Where have you guys seen rear sway bars for sale and the price? I've found them, but i like to check with all you guys first! If you have a size opinion, smaller or larger, it's all appreciated!

what is your front dia?

if you go to big and unbalanced size in back you will be prone to lifting one tire under hard cornering. bigger isn't always better. sometimes new bushings in the rearcan give you a better improvement than a new swaybar, without havign to worry about creating too much over/understeer, as can happen when the wrong sizeswaybars are installed

I agree with 1969 SS. everything has to be properly matched in order to get the best handling. Springs, shocks, sway bars, and tires. Most time you can greatly improve handling by just replacing worn out parts.

ok, i have a 32mm slp in the front, strut bar, kyb agx struts, and eibach spring all the way around. What would be the best rear sway bar size and rear shock combo... i was gonna go with the kyb agx adj. shocks?

Give SLP a call & see if they have a rear bar to match the front one. IMO adjustable shocks are a PIA, unless you are really into road racing. My choice would be a set of Bilstein shocks, excellent control, good ride, good quality.

i do plan on taking it road racing, not really looking for practicality as much as just straight up racing! I'll be buying a 1986 porsche 944 turbo, once i get this to crazy for the street, and then start building that up... and so on. But the slp idea is a great idea, thanks again Pete!

Don't get too carried away with making the car stiff, otherwise you will have a car that sticks like glue on smooth roads, and bounce around out of control on bumpy surfaces. The shocks and springs have to allow thetires to follow the road surface in order to maintain traction.
