Default Lowering springs or wore out springs?

My 96 RS sits really low as compared to looking at other 4th gen Camaros. Is there a way I can tell if it has lowering springs or if they are simply wore out and sagging? I don't really like it THAT low because it drags going into some drives around town. I know where I can get some springs (can't afford brand new ones either) but I don't want to wind up with it sitting the same.

i still have stock springs in my 93 and they dont sag. i would say you have been lowered somehow. how tall are your tires? should be in the area of 26 inches if i remember right 25 on the car. car fender edge at the center of the tire should be 27 and 1/2, i think. lol. mine isnt stock now. koni front shocks are ajusted down 3/4 inch so if thats right 27 1/2 is very close. thats an lt1 but i think they set the same or close.

Earlier 4th Gens had lower spring rates than later ones, solution is to get stiffer springs (or non-lowering ones if that's what you have), this should help explain. This info should also be put in a sticky!
