Hi Craby,

I believe I got the KYB AGX, but not sure, I will check my receipt at home. Replacing the rear control arms is easy and low cost, worth doing?

if your bushings are worn yes. agx, those are adjustable, have you tried adjusting the rear? you may have to get more aggressive on the sway bars. there is a adjustable rear, i have one, so you can stiffen it for the track and loosen it for the highway. also what tires you using and at what air pressure?

I installed the KYB Excel G, not AGX shocks, tires are BFG G Force Sport, 255/50/16, pressure about 36psi, but haven't checked lately.

Bushings are prob orig. all around, I only replaced rod ends, trans mount and sway bar parts, car was pretty low miles/use when I got it.

Well, stock control arms flex, as well as the stock PHB from what I understand. They're all stamped steel as stock, so I can see why they flex and deflect.

I would agree and say maybe look at some cheap boxed lower control arms. That's what I'll be installing in mine here soon enough (2 months can't go by fast enough!!).

your tires are good to 50 lbs, try upping it to 40 lbs and see if it stiffens up a bit. if your looking to change wheels you may want to go with 17s and use a lower profile tire.

Yes,

wish I had done some more suspension work when I had it apart, esp. springs! I didn't know about Strano until I had put in the shocks already. Same with tires, I needed new ones badly before I could locate a set of those 17" SS wheels.

Update;

Scored some SS 10 spokes and now have 275/40/17s all around. Someone is selling the Strano spring/SLP Bilstein kit here locally, but he is still asking a dear price.

*** end is starting to squeak bad, I suppose now is the time for the LCA/Panhard swap?

pan hard an trailing arms front shocks would make the car drive like new ,it what i have done,panther makes a nice set that does not break the bank with greaceable fiitings ,.$100.00 on ebay shipped free like 30 minute job trailing arms an panhard bar others will get $200.00 not better ,i found the 255 works better for me, the 275 is wide ,so dont exspect good cornering with the wider tires ,they look great had them on the rear ,but all the way around has to take away from cornering ,i would go as far to say the stock tires or .+1 would be the best.i put a set of $100.00 shocks in front are a track slash street shock stagg track an street shock ,ball joints front end alignment ,car handles great without breaking the bank like night an day now ,an anything was better then the 20 year old ones i had ,you got a v6 right its all you need,you dont need blistein ,kyb is fine too but 100 each ,i like to think trifty not cheap,it makes me want to spin the tires ,but i will hold off had my fun with that, the 275 they get flat spots an dont last as long either there great for drifting an 1/4th mile run. but for the street i would stagger them 255 front 275 rear ,last set i had in back lasted 14k miles an had flat spots the 255 goes 30k miles easy ,guys that lower there car are better of with a 16inch stock tire ,as going with 17inch then lowering it is just money ,i have 17s too but wont lower it ,its low enough,just a point there ,hope this helps ,an i got a 406 .in my car, i run the 255 all the way around as the 275 wears to fast,but they look great is what i miss i also just got air shocks in the back to,have only put air in them once a year
