For me getting time is the biggest problem and sometime funds slow me down. I was off this week so I got some work done. Now all the hvy work is done frame is bolted in, now it just connecting stuff one thing at a time. I will most likely be back to 6 day work week atleast till the end of January.

did you finish this car? I would love to see it when finished. I have a 93 6 speed and my codes said that i had a 3:42 rear end. I have saw before where it seemed it wasnt offered in the 93 but that is what my build sheet says is in it.

Not finished yet, I have not had much time to work on it. Been working on 6 days a week and my daughter has not started driving yet so no push to get it done. Not sure when it will be done cause I have signed up for a bunch of training for work this Summer also.

The 3:42 was not a standard rear but that does not mean it could not be ordered. Mine turned out to be the 3:23 as would be standard with the M29 I have. The 3:23 will most likely end up in my V6 and I find a 3:42 to put in the 93.

On your Build sheet what code is the Rear. I can not find a Code for 3:42 in 93. G92 is just listed as Performace rear (3:23). It seems weird that GM offered that rear but did not put it in the LE1 or tha Pace car.

I have the gu5 but i also have the g92 wich supposedly uprgrades to 3:42 or 3:73 and the G80 wich is posi traction. I just too this off the web a minute ago so it might not be right but I googled the codes and this is what i found.

you can confirm by lifting the rear and turning the wheels one revolution while counting the revolutions of the driveshaft. about 3 1/4 revolutions of the driveshaft would be 323, about 1 1/2 revolutions would be 342. the way i see it is all g92 is sayin is you have compitition gears, gu5 is sayin what gears you have. i would say you have 323 gears but thats just how i read it.
