I will post pictures of it in tonight, the idiots at autozone are holding me back... I need the RIGHT motor mount bolts because they gave me two inch ones? (ha when i asked for locking washers the guy handed me a bag of nuts!!). I also need to get a single wire oil pressure switch to connect to my stock gauge

In his defense, he problably gave you self locking nuts. Which or 100 times better then crappy locking washers.

Just to pick at you you and the parts guy had to agree on those bolts sizes for him to sell them to you

Anyhow nice engine, cant wait to see it dropped in.

I put the motor in tonight! It was a crap ton of work... also I lost my phone so no pics until I find it!

Several quick things, I LITERALLY had to cut the cowl all the way back to the firewall. I also found that the left windshield wiper mechanism was in the way... so I had to remove that too, i have no idea what I'm going to do for the passenger wiper now. any ideas? The motor is tilted back a little more than normal but Im sure itll be way different with the tranny in. Cant wait to show it to you guys

Screw the passenger side wipers, what about the driver's side? Keep the windshield treated with Rain-X, and other than severe downpours, you'll rarely have a true need for wipers.

@Camaro 69

I think that if I get a low profile dual plane intake and one of those spectre carb cleaner to 3" air intake adapter then I can make more room for the wipers. Plus after the tranny is in the power train angle will be smaller and I think that will make some more room in that area as well. My goal was to make it appear as stock as possible from the outside and no passenger wiper would look retarded, although not that BAD haha.

also ))))

Yeah, that hi rise intake isn't doing you any favors in the clearance department. A low rise intake, and drop base air cleaner should buy you 2-3".

Yeah, or even one of these: Offy Offenhauser 283 327 350 Chevy Chevrolet SBC Dual Quad x Cross RAM Adapt | eBay
Maybe use it to kick the carb towards the front of the engine. Not sure if it would bolt up that way, they're designed to go off to the side. That sure would solve your clearance problems though.
