My 1995 3.4l Camaro build - V6 to V8 Conversion - PICTURES!!
@ddrdiesel, i've never heard that before? Well my car will be known for its engine now so i guess it is a camaro.
btw, its a 421 stroker. not a 350.
Ordered my torque converter and torque arm relocation crossmember on thursday. should be here in like 10 days so my drive train will be finished. Carb isn't spraying right and my starter is bad so im getting the carb rebuilt and buying a bigger starter.
I'm getting excited haha

Sooooo many parts have arrived at my doorstep the past few days. I have a great story too for you guys that makes me look like an idiot. counted the number of splines on the input shaft of my transmission, swear i counter 27 splines about 4 times. turns out I counted the wrong part of the shaft. anyways, I sent my order into RevMax converters for a 9.5" 3800 stall with a balloon plate, upgraded clutches and sprags. Paid about 500 said and done. Get it in the mail, doesn't fit. took it to my tranny builder and he said I have the 30 spline need a new torque converter. called revmax and now I'm in the hole for another $225 to get a new input turbine on it. Ugh! I was gonna have this car done by tuesday! I have all the other parts here just waiting for the torque converter.

got the dash back together

took my carburetor to a shop and they had a pretty sweet dyno setup! ... irrelevent but I thought you guys might like it!

there's the new torque converter that doesn't fit in my transmission...

New mini high torque starter! I have to tap another bolt hole so I can have the inline pattern on my 421 stroker

BMR torque arm relocation crossmember

Got a JEGS 4 point roll cage kit so I can properly install my four point seat belts, my buddy nick working on the main hoop in this pic

then my buddy was busy the day I started working on the last two points so I cut them with the torch myself and welded em. Not that great of a welder so thankfully he offered to put another bead on it for me haha

both in

looks good from behind the front seats, gotta figure out how to put the plastic trim in now haha

UPDATES!
soo.. things are about done, although not everything is going quite as planned. I ordered a carburetor scoop from amazon to stick out through the hood. They accidentally sent me a tire. i called them and they said they were overnighting me the correct item and that it would be at my door the next day. opened the second package... another tire... Called them and they said they no longer have any more of the item I have been trying to order but I can buy the same item from a third party through them for $460!? i was so pissed. anyways I got a refund haha.
Also, the inline starter didn't fit.. Learned a lot of about the staggered/inline starters haha.
So heres what I have done so far... I got my torque converter back, its a 3800 stall, anti balloon plate, carbon clutch, upgraded sprag springs, 9.5" from revmax converters. Installed the transmission, everything went in amazingly! Got my BMR torque arm relocation crossmember in, installed my old two piece driveshaft lol (this will be my next big replacement haha, its a piece of crap). finished putting the yoke together at the differential. Installed a cheap starter from autozone. Installed a new front bumper cover. Put red conduit in my engine bay. Ran all new brake lines and changed all my fittings and installed brass t-blocks. got some -3 An stainless braided teflon hoses for my front calipers, but haven't installed them yet because my car is over the pit and we can't jack it up unless its on a flat surface. My carburetor will be back tomorrow, its just a holley 750cfm single pump. My carb guy upgraded the pump to 50cc so we'll see how it does... now I only need a dust cover, tv cable, dipsticks, and a bushing for my torque arm.
Here are some crappy pics from underneath the car haha. Sorry, it was getting dark outside and the pit is flooded because it has rained like 10 inches the past 10 days....

Also, i have installed my tranny cooler hoses. no pic of that yet. I have about 15 feet of fuel line too I need to install to replace that crappy blue stuff. bigger fuel filters too. Can anyone tell me what to use to hang the brake lines? the guy at autozone said metal plumber straps?? I think he was high though haha.
Looking nice. Did you end up keeping the tires they mistakenly gave you? Haha.
If I were you, I'd clean up the underneath of the car once the tunnel drains of water. Looking a little dirty under there. But otherwise good.

So the car is basically done now. I have all the small things pretty much finished. My throttle cable bracket will be here tomorrow. I had a guy over today to tune it for me and we quickly ran into a problem. Although it sounded pretty cool and loud the timing light was jumping around really bad and the engine was backfiring and popping out the exhaust... We thought the wires may have been arching so we moved em around a little bit and it kept having issues. He believes the ignition module in the dizzy is bad. So, as much as this is going to stink, I have to change the distributor haha. We think if we take the cap off first their will be enough room to remove the distributor without pulling the engine.
Also, with my current plug wires they were too close to the headers and got very warm and we had a hard time keeping them close to the block with looms. I am buying a custom wire kit and running the wires on the side of the block and over the back to the dizzy. just gotta find a way to keep them tucked away nice. any suggestions on looms or wire separators?
I'm ordering a MSD street fire distributor on friday
