MKCoconuts Z28 Project
I figure since I've put a fair amount of work into my car, I'll make a thread on it. Especially since there will be more to come in the performance department.
Some background info on it first though.

Sold my '96 Buick Century for $1900 and bought this for $1100 down in southern PA (actually had to go all the way down to Maryland and back up to get to the place) with one blown head gasket. Further inspection made that two blown gaskets. Car was a big gamble with the blown gaskets and it sitting for so long.
The g/f at the time and now very good friend gave it the nickname Justice (and to this day, I still don't understand why) and it stuck.
Here's pics of us backing it into the garage, as well as pics of the passenger and drivers side. Paint was in really good shape except the passenger fender which had clear coat stripping off.

When we got the car, the kid had all ready did most of the tear down. He also failed to bag and tag all the bolts and other small pieces. So it was a "pick up a bolt and see if it fits" type of game. Here's a picture of the engine as we received it. One thing that really got on my nerves too was the PO attempted to spray paint the engine bay black making it look like s**t.

Now move on to the interior. This is where the previous owner really made mistakes. First off, you can tell the carpet wasn't taken care of one bit. He even said he never used floor mats. Also, the back passenger seat carpet was soaking wet. Turns out, he "lost" the body plug that goes there and never bothered to replace it. A top of that, he spray painted the passenger seats red in the middle to try and match the outside of the car. Drivers seat also had a fairly sized tear in it too.

Finally got the intake painted up and on. Dad was going to port/polish it and the heads himself, but he didn't have a extension to his grinder. We skipped that and started connecting things with the help of a picture from wikipedia. Originally, I planned on pulling the whole engine out, cleaning it up, and redoing the bottom and top end. That needed to be put on hold (and is still on hold) because at the time I needed a vehicle other than my dads truck and is on hold now because funds are too low.

This was the first snag we hit redoing this motor. One of the A/c brackets was broken. We also discovered that the car hadn't come with the A/c condenser either. I ended up just buying the bypass pulley. I didn't have a/c with my Buick so I could live without it in the Camaro.

Here's a picture of the engine pretty much completely put back together. I was so happy that we were almost done. Problem was, is I didn't have the title in my name yet so even had we gotten it done, I wouldn't be able to drive it.

Here's the engine finally completely put together and at this time I got the title so I was able to finally drive it! My dad however wanted me to sell it after he drove it a few times because he felt it was "too fast" and I was gonna get killed driving it. But to this day, I haven't wrecked it nor got any speeding tickets other than a ticket for street racing. Ha.

Here's pics of us sanding and priming the car down so we could prep it for paint. Dad did most of the work with me just doing small stuff while learning how to do it for real. I was excited to finally have the paint job done and decided to stick with the stock color but to had black with silver metallic stripes to it.
