Well it was a newer 4.0 v6 5-speed. I got him through 2nd but when I hit third he started pulling up and passed me. This was after we got our tickets we went out of town and raced again :)

Always be careful and prudent when driving! That's a funny term, never heard that one. Here, it's called reckless driving.
You must have a "kinder and gentler" law enforcement there. Careless and imprudent makes it sound like you went "oops"! ;)

If I wind out in second I'm already about 45 lol how did you keep from speeding? And i just cranked over 213,000 ;) still runs strong as ever! (new fuel pump helped as well)

The race where we raced through 3rd was after the ticket.

Tax income = Racing clutch, Flywheel, EGR Valve, O2 sensors, Spark Plugs, Plug wires, Coil Packs, Cam, Roller Rockers, Valve Springs, Pushrods, Head Gasket Set, Timing Set, and new tires. Let the fun begin!!!

The only reason I'm doing the cam and valvetrain is because I think I have a bad head gasket. The car has been running rough for a few days now. It's really bad when I first start it but levels out after running for about 25 minutes. I think I might be leaking coolant into my cylinders. Oh well. At least it happened right when my taxes got filed. The car still runs and is sitting at 206,799. I'm only going to do a top end rebuild. The crank, pistons, etc... will stay stock. I won't have the funds to do that much work and I can't afford to have my car out of commission for quite that long. For now I'll rebuild the top end and if the bottom end needs rebuilt later down the road, I'll take care of it then.

Oh and did I mention that I got a new steering wheel for Christmas!?
