Quoted for truth. Not to mention if suddenly things take a lot longer than you plan, you may be up a creek bashing your face in with a wrench out of frustration (trust me, I've been there).

I definitely say though that you should drive on this motor until the day it dies. If you have all these plans to do a big 3.4 build, buy your new motor now, then build it while driving your car. Then hopefully, by the time your current motor eats itself, your built motor will be done and ready to go.

also, +1 on doing a tune if you're gonna do all those other mods. I feel like doing all that work and not doing a tune just isn't taking full advantage of the gains those mods have to offer.

The plan is to buy a motor to gradually build until my current motor craps out on me. I'm looking into the 3400 top end swap or fully building the 3.4. We'll see what happens when I start pricing everything.

One man's boat anchor is another man's yacht. Don't go flaming someone's pride and joy. That kinda stuff might not be taken kindly and doesn't go over well, and it's against the "V6 bashing" rules we have here. I'm sure it was meant as a joke, but still, just chill.

V6 bashers::: In my opinion, to each his own. I'd rather have a fast v6 than a mediocre v8. Some like the v8. Some can't afford a v8. I don't see why people can't just give some support to the non obvious ideas. Supercharged v8 = something people do EVERY day. A built, cammed v6, on the other hand, isn't something that not alot of people would want to invest in. I think it's more impressive to have a fully built v6 than a bolt on v8 with just 50hp more than the built v6. That's just my .02.... If you want to flame and bash, please do it elsewhere. I'm not keen to hearing that what I've invested every last spare dime of mine into, has been a waste. So please, if you will, stop with the negative input. It's not needed here.
Right on brotherin Ive invested almost 2 grand in my car so far and I dont regret any of it

I've got you doubled, easily lol. I bought the car for $1250 and I've probably put $4000-$5000 into it including labor for the stuff I didn't install myself. Parts alone, I probably have $3000 invested into it.
