'93 Vette lt1 in my '93 Z28
I just purchased a 1993 corvette LT1 engine (87k miles) to go in my '93 Z28, Needless to say I have a few questions. I do have both complete harnesses and pcu's. I think I can use all the Z28 wiring and pcu along with EPROM from corvette pcu , I would love some input! Has anyone performed this swap before?
I used to have a 92 LT1 Vette, same engine as a 93. The Vette/Camaro engines are the same, other than the Vette block having 4 bolt mains and the alternator mounted on opposite sides. Bolt and hook everything up to the Vette engine as if it was the Camaro engine.

I would be tempted to just use the harness and ECM from the Camaro. I am pretty sure the gage cluster on the Vett tied into the ECM. ABS or traction control the same? All it takes is one wire to be different. In my years of working on Vetts the designers loved to be a little different. I can remember we could update the 1990 Vett tune through the IBM CAMs system. That was Vett only. Also in 1990 GM had a CCM Central control module and the Camaro did not. 1990 was the last year I was trained on the Vett.
I am not saying it won't work but I am saying changing a engine wiring harness is A LOT easier to do with the motor out. I am not sure how you would handle the key?
