02 4th gen f body engine swap
 

I was told to swap with a 6.0 ls, and to get a coil 80 transmission. Is this possible and what is the level of difficulty!

Are you swapping from a V6 or a V8. From a Ls1 to a 6.0 should be pretty easy. You will just need a tune when done. If you are swapping from a V6 is a pretty big pain and can be pretty expensive.

Another thought was ? Is a 3800 series 2 motor a 3800 motor regardless of whether it's front-wheel or rear wheel .I do have another brand new 3800 motor in a 01 Chevy Impala "front wheel drive though."
I understand that things have to be removed from the front wheel drive and swapped with the rear wheel drive.
Is this swap an option!

Yes that is an option In fact you can use the Series 3 motors.

2. Research, for the 4th gen it is best to drop the motor and trans out of the bottom. It helps to know what really needs to come off and what does not. A lot of first timers pull way to much stuff a part in the car, Those are battles that do not need fought.

Worst case scenario
 

So everyone can imagine worst case scenario if a bearing cap is not put on properly & fails while the motor is running.
Let's say a competent driver was behind the wheel . After driving the car for 15 to 20 minutes heard a sound after leaving the shop after paying a $8,000 dollar bill for engine upgrades suspension exhaust and brakes. Shut the vehicle off immediately and had it towed back to the shop where they found the bearing cap in the oil pan. There was no further inspection on the vehicle the owner was refunded his money and I bought this clean Camaro for 1,000.
So what's best case scenario?

So we are talking about the car with the bad bearing? I would find a low miles 3800 out of like an 2008 Monte. On these engines if you change the intake gasket to get rid of the original and you change the coolant every 3 years they will most likely last 200K mikes. For me and my project 96 The motor was still running great after 100,000 miles but the rest of the car was needing attention.
