Well i am new to the forum and i have a 1997 Camaro V6 RS.. Now on to the question. In my vehicle above the stereo there are 2 buttons the one on the left is the foglight button the one on the right says SGS.. I switch it on and see no difference... What is this switch? It looks factory. I do not have my owners manual

 

I think that stands for Second Gear Start, I've seen a similar switch only on Grand Prix GT's and GTP's. When activated it eliminates first gear. you actualy leave the line in second. I played with it on the car I was test driving, it launched alot harder and quicker w/no wheel spin. I can only guess this is a factory performance mod.
