Decided to start digging into my audio situation. Pulled the stereo unit out and a "wtf" moment occurred. Spliced and snipped wires left and right. I haven't ever messed with audio before so it's new to me but this is ridiculous. I need some info the wiring and also what, if any, adapters are needed to hook up the rear sub. Have two mediocre pics to share but other than that I'm clueless and really don't have an idea of where to start looking. There is a Kenwood unit installed.

wow what a god awful mess...i would start off by putting as much of it back together, color for color and get the stock harness back in one piece, then just get the plug in adapter from whoever sells audio stuff by you..parts store or walmart has them.
as far as the amp wiring, they make a kit for it with the ring terminals and all. you need a power from the battery and a good ground. from the radio itself to the amp you need the blue remote wire and the RCA wires
I borrowed these from shbox..the year is a little off but it should be pretty close-
standard radio (1996)
