Default Help with door handle light...

Ok - someone had my '96s doors apart before me, and I have this blown bulb and socket hanging loose. It looks like a neo-wedge type base (which is all that's left). I'm not sure where it mounts, but I'm guessing it's there to light up the door window/lock switches. Any clues as to where/how it mounts? I have a parts diagram, but that's of no help.

Thanks!

there is no lights in the door panels, unless the previous owner did something to it, from the factory there were no lights.

That's odd - from the .pdf I got of the factory parts list, it looks like it is there - has part numbers and everything.

I take it that "SI WDO SW BULB"means "Side window switch bulb", hence the question.

Yepp there sure is is light and its a very small clear plastic that the light shines through so you can see the window and door switch. I switched mine to LED's....blue! looks great. There is a small circular thing that the whole little light base goes into and then twists to lock into place. I know the 97 to 02 models have it but don't know if 93-96 had it.

YOu don't need to remove the panel, just the whole plastic panel thats around the door handle. Actually you don't even need to take it completely off. I just removed the 3 screw and popped it off enough so you can get your hand or some needle nose pliers. I didn't even have to take off the door/window switch thingy either....very easy
