Doors won’t unlock from inside w/ switch s

Hey All,

Sort of at at a loss with my 02 V6 Camaro. Can’t figure out why the doors won’t unlock from the inside. It unlocks with my key fob. I had all my switches replaced (got them from a junk yard). Anyone have any ideas? Is the unlock tied to a specific fuse? Is it a “mode” that the car is in?

my apologies if this is in another thread. I was sure to search before I posted. Just didn’t find a solution for me.

Thanks!

If the switches work ok for locking the doors, the the problem is likely with a connector behind the passenger side knee bolster (3 screws, two front and one back) under the dash. The connector joins two bunches of wires. The connector is a 6-position one with 5 wires: tan, gray, red/black, orange/black, and gray/black. The wire for the unlock function is the orange/black one. If you can find the connector, try unplugging it and plugging it back together to see if it is just a bad connection.

Thanks GaryDoug! I’ll give this a try within the next few days and report back!

If that doesn't work try unplugging and plugging back in the leftmost connector at the BCM module bottom. You can probably just trace the wire from the other connector to find it.
