Default Aftermarket gauge cluster?

Hey everyone,
I am new to the forum and i appoligize if i am starting another previous tread.
I just got an 02' Chevy camaro V6. And right away i want to change the gauge cluster to a nicer looking one. Can anyone point me into the right direction or websites?

Also can i put in a SS gauge cluster that goes up to 150mph speedometer?or will i have to change something in the car to make it read the right MPH?

Thanks

You should be able to just swap the SS cluster in. It'll be mostly for appearance though, last time I checked the V6's had a speed limiter set below 100mph. Just make sure both cars have the same gauges and the connector is the same.

Would have to have it tuned out with a programmer or a company that does tunes. I would not do so until you have a proper set of tires on the car unless you're looking for a death wish. I.E. V, W, Y, or Z rated tires.

The V6 and V8 clusters are identical in appearance except for how high the speedo goes. V6 cluster goes to 125 and the governor is set at around 118 or so. Swapping a V8 cluster in, which goes to 150, would require recalibration to make the needle match the cluster numbers. To remove the governor, PCMforless can do so on your stock PCM or just buy a new one off of them. I know recalibration services for going to 150 to 200 mph costs $200 and there's only one person I know of that does it. Not really worth it in my opinion. It's hard enough to get over 100 mph with traffic where I'm living.

Well, we should be "assuming" he's only going over 80 mph on the drag strip and not out on the streets where he or someone else could be seriously injured.
