YANK 3600 stall
i was thinking of putting a YANK 3600 stall torque converter on my car as my next mod. i just had a few questions. first off, would i need to get a trans cooler if i was to put the 3600 stall? and i have heard people say that you also need to get the car tuned after installing a high stall converter, is this true? and lastly, how does having a 3600 stall effect daily driving? does it make the car harder to drive?
thanks to all in advance

RE: YANK 3600 stall
you will need a trans cooler with a 3600 and im not sure about a tune never heard that, and as for daily driver thats a bit high of a stall i mean i drove a 01 trans with a 4000 stall to see wat it was like an it was pretty different i wouldnt want it for a d.d i.mo. is it a d.d for you?

RE: YANK 3600 stall
well the guy that put my dvd/cd player in my car at best buy had a ls1 camaro and he told me a 2800 was the best for a dd and thats wat he had, ur car doesnt start to move until 3000 rpms if you have a 3000 stall so gas/sound and the pull of the car is diff. and some pple get tired of it.... i would think a 3000 or lower would be ok for a dd but u might not like it....look it up on you tube and watch an listen to the car

RE: YANK 3600 stall
idk if its different for an ls1, but i have a yank ss3600 in my car. yes you need the tranny cooler, you should for sure get it tuned, and i LOVE it. it really isn't that much different than stock to me.granted, it doesn't move as quick when you first touch the gas, but hammer it and she will go. just remember, you're going to use more gas if you have one. any other questions, feel free to PM me or ask in here
