Won't Stay Running

Well here's my newest problem. I bypassed the theft deterrent relay by jumping the purple and yellow wires. So now I can get it to start each time I turn the key, but it will only run for about 2 or 3 seconds. It has the same pattern every time where it will rev up a little and then die right away. It is a freshly rebuilt lt1 from a 95' camaro that I put into my 94' camaro. All the wiring is from the donor 95'. It is an automatic car. I was wondering if it was still the VATS that could be cutting the fuel supply from the fuel injectors. I tried the resistor trick with no luck. When I put the fuel pressure gauge on the car, it will jump up to 43 psi of fuel pressure right away when I turn the key to prime the fuel pump, but then it will drop almost all the way down after a few seconds. Not sure if it could be my regulator letting the fuel go back to the tank? I honestly don't know and I need some ideas. Here's a video clip of what it is doing when we start it. Thanks guys

Sounds like vats to me. I didn't see any stumbling. Are you using the key that came with the car?

You need the key from the 95 since you swapped everything over

Does the security light come on??

yep theft deterrent module sends a signal to the pcm to tell it to turn the fuel pump on.

I have the steering column and key from the 95. The key is not the original GM key. It is some crappy key that the owners before had made from somewhere other than the gm dealership. I am going to get a new key from my chevy dealer today and see what happens. Security light never comes on at all by the way

It doesn't even come on when you first put your key to the on position to ensure that the bulb is okay?

No it never comes on at all

Should probably replace the bulb that way you can tell if it's a security system issue. It's a standard 194 bulbs. Easy to replace too.
