I had a '95 done in 2004 and it cost me $175. I went with 20% on the doors and 40% on the hatch at the suggestion of the tinter. It was a forest green car w/ factory gold pinstripe and a black interior. The tint really made it pop.

Unless you are well expeirenced the hatch or any really curved window will give you headaches. The easiest way to do the back window is to wet the back windo on the outside and then cut the tint to fit the outside of the hatch window. Cut the tint into about 6 inch strips. Usually I hide them along the rear defroster lines. Then take then one at a time and install them starting at the bottom and overlapping each a hair. The professionals will be able to heat fit the back window in one piece. However it will cost. Most cars can be done for about 200 - 300 dollars.

Advice from a former window tinter....

Sweet. Mine's forest green too. I don't have much pinstripe left (im going to take the buffer sometime this week and remove (carefulyl!) the rest of the broken up pinstripe. I'll probley get the 3M stripe kit from autozone. Dunno what color yet.

It's entirely worth going to a shop for this. Not only do they usually use high grade materials that won't fade and bubble, they can install it in a few hours. The best way, of course, would to remove the glass and tint it on a table, but it's really unrealistic. I plan on tinting the windows on my Nova when I replace all the glass on it by that method.

Go look at Youtube and find some videos on window tinting if you want to do it yourself. There are a lot of good ones there that will at least show you the basics of how to do it...
