Default Wheel spacers

I bought rims for my 96 z28. they are the black c5 rims (18x9.5") On the rear, the center holes in the rims don't clear the hubs on the rear, and if they did clear and lay flush on the rotor, then the inner lip would rub the wheel well. Should i use wheel spacers on the back so the rims clear everything? or are wheel spacers bad? i been trying to get a hold of the manufacturer, but they wont answer so i thought i would ask smarter people on here. thanks

They are a 56mm offset. The manufacturer emailed me back and said they will fit, but clearly they don't fit on the back. And maybe 1/2" to 1" spacer. Did you shave the lip of the rim or the center hole?

lmao i did by the from oe wheel distributors, but i work at discount tire co. they dont mess up usually. the offset is fine it will fit mine are 53 mm and fit fine, except the back that i had to file down the center hole for the hub in the back. it took maybe 2 minutes a wheel get it to where they would fit nice, im not saying maul your wheels filing it though. im saying take it and lightly work away the paint/chrome (depending on the finish) it happens alot if a wheel is dipped in chrome or paint with many different brand wheels.

yeah thats what i first assumed, like the paint and chrome are too thick. my other problem though is that if it does fit on all the way and sits flush against the rotor, the inner lip looks like it will rub the wheel well, but that is jacked up with the springs depressed. on the ground, will the lip clear or will i need spacers so it doesnt sit so close to the wheel well?

yeah at first when i got mine test fit they were maybe 5 mm away from the wheel well but when you lower the car with the tires on it fixes the issue i might be able to get a pic if you need some proof
