Whats it worth?
Alright, I hate to do this. But I am considering selling my Camaro. The need for a truck outweighs my need for a sports car. I have a Red 1997 Camaro SS (not that my name doesnt say that)Right at 97000 miles. Its a 6 speed manual(shifts great), Leather, pwr windows, pwr locks, pwr driver seat. Stock CD player with a 10inch Memphis sub. KBB says 7600 and NADA says 11500. Figured I would ask the experts....

RE: Whats it worth?
i would say 8k is fair price.

RE: Whats it worth?
97s have the LT1 right?
|
RE: Whats it worth?
where do you live, and what do camaros go for in your area? what do ls1's/lt1's go for in your area? price it in the middle of those.
|
RE: Whats it worth?
Yeah It has an LT-1. Its SLP #1558. Most of the people around here drive mustangs and damn imports.
|
RE: Whats it worth?
I have noticed that Camaros actually sell higher than KBB.
NADA is way off (unless you are pricing classic muscle cars). I would do a search for your car on Autotrader within 500 miles and see what is out there and price appropriately... |
RE: Whats it worth?
for a 97 you can pinch out more, ive seen anniversary Z28s go for $12 grand, and the SS is a rareity [sp?] even if its not the LT4
heres an SS going for almost 20k from a dealer!!! lol http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...mp;cardist=436 |
RE: Whats it worth?
You can only get that much for a '97 if it's actually a special edition SS or Z28. Like other's have said, see what similar cars go for in your area.

RE: Whats it worth?
Hmm...seems kinda low for a numbered car. But what do I know...dont want to get rid of it, but idk. Any takers if I do end up selling it?
