what gas do you run???
 

i was just wondering what everyones running... i use premium at 15-20 cents more a gallon its only $2-3 more per tank

I too use premium, but every now and then, I'll put in the 89 stuff if I'm low on funds.

I usually fill up at half a tank, and alternate from mid grade to primo.

when i had the 3.4 in it i ran 87 and if i had the lt1 i have in it now an it was stock i would run 87. i run what ever the book tells me to. but since my computer is tunes for 93 i run 93.

Octane in its simplest explanation is the stability of the fuel under pressure. higher ratings are for higher compressions basically obviously there is other factors like timing and so on. but if a car is tuned for 87 and you run 93 your really not doing the car any favors. the only thing that is making you faster is the lighter wallet.:icon_wink:

If it makes you feel comfortable to run higher octanes then by all means do it then.

have to run premium...car runs like a dog on 87 and actually costs more because of the decreased efficiency.

93 octane. Might as well I figure.

I've always run 93 because I have read it's preferred/required for the Z28. Have I believed wrong all this time?
