What’s good guys, I recently came into possession of a 1998 Z28, all bone stock with 23,000 original miles in a midnight navy with neutral leather interior and a six speed manual tranny. The car is in perfect condition with ZERO issues. My question is I don’t plan on keeping it and would like to know what I can possibly ask for it. Car is showroom quality.
Hard to say as values vary a lot depending on location but in that condition assuming no accident history and a clear title somewhere between $10K & $20K.
NADA is a guide for wholesale, Kelly Blue book would be closer to full retail. 98 Non-SS are not that sought after but any low miles miles LS/6 speed car should have decent value. If you do the deep search you will find people ask well over the 20k range. What people ask and what they get are two different things. Also you are not being a dealer and that will hurt the value. You can not help with financing and most people with cash looking for this type of car will not deal this the general public. They would want a consultant or a well known consignment dealer involved.
People hate dealing with consignment agents but one with a good reputation can get more money in your pocket and they can vet out all the dreamers. Just be sure you have done your research and make sure you get your money before the title gets signed. Even a good dealer can fall on hard times.
