Default Volt meter is fluctuating

Hello today I changed my egr valve, the egr solenoid, the MAF sensor and my sepentine belt on my 02 3.8 and now my volt meter is fluctuating a bit over 13 and almost 10. What is going on now it seems like I fix one thing and another thing goes bad

Also I forgot to add that it only fluctuates when I'm slowing to a stop and then goes back to over 13 and also when I start the car goes up n goes down then goes back to over 13 n stays there at idle

clean all wire connections to the alternator and battery. wire brush the heck outa them. when you have the wires lose check for lose fits at connectors at the wire ends where wire goes to connector. may as well do the wire ends at the power junction box while your at it.

Ok well I can try it when it's not raining lol but what I also just noticed that when I went to start it, it sputtered a couple times like it wanted to die then coughs on and was fine at idle

Well it's fine if I'm actually driving but when I come down to a stop the voltage goes down to like almost 10 but when I do stop it goes back up.. But when I go to start the car it struggles to idle as if it wants to die.. Do u think it just needs a tune up?

could need a tuneup. id also take it to the parts store and get the battery and alt tested.

yah im kinda slow today. lol, thanks bc, if battery is shot and alternator is goin then when the alternator cant keep up the battery is not taking up the slack and loss of volts causes the system to go wack. add to list, look around where you where working to make sure something was not knocked lose.

it happened to me, it would be fine until i started to slow down (the loss of rpms caused the alt to struggle). than i replaced the alt and battery and everything was fixed.

Well I did the self alt test and the car stayed on.. Correct me of I'm wrong but of it was the battery isn't the battery only needed to start the car? And after the alt takes over?
