Velocity stack in LS1?

This is good. I go to the track every weekend so the higher speeds are what I care about.

I was thinking of investing in an SLP smooth bellow. I hear its overpriced and can make the intake lid crack under high speeds because it has no flex and can't move like the stock accordion bellow.. is there any truth to this?

truth is it sucks. its a waste of money unless you want to dress up your engine bay

So, basically, what I learned from this thread is;

Forget velocity stacks on cars: they will ruin or mess with your MAF.
Forget smooth bellows: they aren't flexible, could crack your intake lid by putting too much pressure on it AND they are only for looks, or maybe .4 HP

Just throw a lid on your car and call it a day
