V6 to LS1

thetal1 are you going with a stand alone fuel managment system or are you trying to use a GM system?

There was a is thread of a guy that swapped a LS1 into a OBD1 V-6 car. He said he had to replace every single wire in the car, even the wires in the doors and the dome light. I am not sure where it is but I am sure there is a lot of good info in there for you.

GM.
For the computer they said upgrade to OBD2 and reprogram the comp.

for the moment i have asked the people questions and they all seem to have answers like smog, computer, and if it will fit, ect.

I will send him a message to see if ill have to change just the engine wire harness or entire car wire harness. or if that can be programmed into the computer.
(the guy who did the swap has all the tech comp stuff)

im sure you knew but new v8 fuel pump, and fuel rail. pcm, engine harness, and trans harness swap

Here is a site that list many of the parts that need swapped. Note all the Cars that go from OBD1 to OBD2 require the W (see the bottom of the page) that W stands for all wiring. Thats just for the LT1 I assume the LS1 will be more so.

ive seen that site a while ago.
trust me the swap will be 2-3 years from now cuz my lil'3.4 is a DD
by then the research will all be done and if i do have an engine just sittin in my garage that wont work with my car then ill put it in something else.

im gonna hold to my guns for now but when the time is close ill keep you posted
