Default Good catbacks

I finally have enough to get a good catback exaust. I've been watching YouTube vids and like the sound of the magnaflow, and I lime the SLP Loudmouth II. I was wondering is the loudmouth really freaking loud? I don't want to br breaking sound levels since I'm only 16.

What do you guys think performance wise and sound wise is the better option?

I'd go with the Loudmouth. I too was wondering about which to buy a week ago. Personally, I didn't the Magnaflow's sound. It was too high pitched and the Loudmouth has that deep muscular tone that I really like. As for power gains, its going to be about the same for both.

Oh, and when I was looking, the SLP Loudmouth was like over $100 cheaper than the MAgnaflow. Yes, the Loudmouth is loud.

The Magnaflow on a LS1 will sound stock at idle and be a bit louder under load; when you go WOT it will open up a lot. Are you looking at the LM1 or LM2? I have the LM2, and its louder at idle, and sounds good under load for the most part. It will drone a lot at highway speeds. It isn't overly loud if you have stock manifolds and cats either. For the LT1 you would need to buy the LT1 install kit and the LM exhaust.

^Flowmaster 80 FTW.

To MaVeN, My friend with a 1997 WS6 has SLP loud mouth and it's BY FAR the best I've heard on the v8 f-bodies. Nice rumble and it's not that loud really. I mean it's definitely heard but it's no louder than a Flowmaster cat back system.

not true dual, single from cat to flowmaster, the flowmaster has a single input dual output basically if that made any sense lol

That sounds a little high but not by much. They are usually around $400 or so. Tru duals have to be custom fabbed for f bodies, or you would have to buy one the expensive Kooks, LPP or TSP kits.
