95 a/c
hi all,
new here. I have a 95 3.4L. i replaced the A/C compressor this weekend, and boy what fun.
I am an A/C tech by trade. So I decided to pressure test with dry nitrogen to make sure there were no leaks, and did not have much pressure in the Low side when I heard a POP in the evap.section were the Aluminum tubing is under alot of plastic. I assume the TXV is housed in the enclosure. I am wondering if there is a low pressure relief inside the enclosure before I try to take it apart. I was surprised when I heard the POP and the nitrogen excaping.
Anyone have this happen, or any one familular with this? I guess I am hoping it is just a relief of fitting issue. Honestly, I will cut off the plactic housing. this is the only way I can see to gain access. The Haynes manual i have is useless.
Thanks.
Tim
