Default tune up?

thinking of doing a tune up before the winter, bought a fuel filter from autozone, and for plugs was thinking ac delco however the guy there tells me the car originally comes with the delco iridiums? how true is this? is there a better plug for a stock setup?

i like the ngk tr55ix, so far the best i can find for how my car is set up. also had pretty good performance with the tr55gp, both are kinda spendy but will last so you dont have to change em again for a long time.

I love what people say when I tell them that their Caddy, Mustang, Lexas, Corvette, Camaro ... Etc had Iridium plugs from the factory. At $8 per plug it is not a pretty sight in most cases. What I dont get is if you can afford the upper end car why cant you afford the correct parts for it?

I put Delco iridiums in my car and nothing else. NGK TR55 or TR6 are good too (they're made by AC Delco anyways). Always put iridium plugs in... It's well worth the extra coin

It is amazing how they whine. I've looked up a few cars where the OE plugs are NGK Laser Double Platinums, normally around $16 each. Some whiny people on the other side of the counter when you tell them that.

Another favorite is people that have things like Navigators or Denalis, even BMWs with the HID bulbs that cost $300 each!! Some of the newer ones are only $120, that is still a pretty penny if ya ask me. I will stick to my Silverstars for $25 each any day over that.

The plugs I pulled out of my Wife's LS1 were AC Delco Iridium plugs made by Denso.
