True duals too low?

Well Flowmasters are junk to begin with. True duals will not get you any more power than a good 3 inch off road Y-pipe and a 3 inch cat back. What is the fasination with tru duals? Look at my sig, those numbers are with a 3 inch off road y, and a three inch cat back, hell I don't even have a dual outlet muffler.

I don't know what the fascination is with true duals. Seems silly to me too, but to each their own I suppose.
The best way to get true duals is to dump them before the axel. You'll cut ground clearance a little, but it shouldn't be too bad. If you have to have tips going out the back and you have your heart set on a true dual setup you're going to be paying a pretty penny for it.

Oh so 3 inch y and cat back sounds good to me. Are high flow cats a good option? I was quoted 545 for a cat back with a 80 series flow master. What is the best muffler for an ls1? I'm basically looking for the best setup I can get for the price with my ls1 z28. Thank you!

If you need to pass a smog test in your area for emissions high flow cats are going to be a must, but you should plan on doing headers and a mandrel bent Y pipe with cats if that's the case, and that will probably come at a later date. Go to www.ls1sounds.com and listen to the different exhaust systems and decide which one you want. Cat-backs are mainly a "how do I want my car to look and sound," performance gains are pretty similar no matter what you get.
