Default Trouble with ignition

Since i got the car its had a bit of trouble turning over at night when its cold (turn key and it rumbles but doesnt set on for a few seconds). but if i just turned the car off at night and turn back on a few minutes later its fine when engine is warm. it seems like its been getting worse, its been taking longer and long to get the engine to turn over, up to 3-4 key turns. and then today it did it but at 1 in the afternoon...what might my problem be and what can i do about it?

could just need a tune up. scann it for trouble codes. might be able to get one of the local parts store to scann for u. has any of the lights at the dash been comming on. service engine or security lights. its a good idea to let us know what yr and model camaro we are talking about.

my z was doing that too. never really looked into it, but I did find that if you let the pump finish priming before you turn the key all the way it will start on the second try at least. its probably an issue with the pump itself, or the fuel filter, or the injectors. maybe even a fuel pressure regulator but I dont even know if the car has that.

It didn't bother me enough to fix it but I would start with the easiest and cheapest. fuel filter.

Try priming the pump a few times by turning the key ON & OFF several times before attempting to start. If it then starts right up, the FI system is losing pressure when the engine is off. If that is the case, then it could be a bad fuel pump, or a bad pressure regulator, or a leaky injector, or an actual fuel leak.

Don't leave it in that condition, because whatever is wrong will eventgually get worse, and leave you stranded.
