well ,,yes and no see IF you mean ...like before 93 yes pretty much anything will bolt to anything and if you are easy on it ...it wont break. my friend has a 76 nova that has a 396 on the original THM-200 and so far its ok.as for the later 4th gen stuff typically 6s have a 4l60e 8s got a 4l80e. i hope that helps and good luck

3rd gen camaro will take almost any chevy motor. 4th gen camaro is motor spacific,,, the car is built to take a certain motor. 93 4th gen camaro auto has a 4l60, 94 to 02 camaro auto has a 4l60e. camaro never came with a 4l80e.

i noticed you have a 95 camaro, soo i moved your thread to the 4th gen section. please read the rules when you have time. thanks. welcome to the forum. there is a sitckie in the v6 section that lets you know what is needed to switch a 4th gen 6 to a 8. best and cost effective way is to sell your 6 and find a good z28

^ But he could also have an 88, as his user name suggests.

To a V6, no it won't. The second question is not an issue, since the trans won't bolt up.

Since we do not know for sure what year we are talking we can say that if it is a inline 6 it will bolt up. I do not think there are any V6's that have the v8 pattern installed in a Camaro. (4.3 V6 does but it was not in a camaro) there is also some older 3.8's but they have the buick patternt not the chevy.

600 HP on a v6 tranny, Heck 600 HP on are V8 tranny is worth a LOL. I have to explain it to my daughter to find the correct letters.
OK she says it ROFLMAO, but I am not really sure what that means.
