Default Traction on wet-roads...

So i'm considering a 94 Z28 and in all the reviews i've read the Z28 has poor traction on wet roads. Now living in Vancouver, where it rains 80% of the time, 9 months out of the year... this could be a major problem. It may be a non-issue but I just want to be sure.

if you have street tires its not a big deal, hell i even drive in the rain on my DR's. wetness isnt the issue. snow can be however with a torquey car like that. but then again, there are people that drive them year round around here. saw an ls1 camaro out on the roads just yesterday and we have gotten almost 2 feet of snow in the last week [&:]. The cars have enough power to break it loose on snow at about any speed, so you have to be mature about it, but otherwise its no biggie

Cool, we only get snow for maybe a week once a year.

I drive mine right now in the snow and ice. I'm yet to drive it on a dry road, I think. It really isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

Handling on wet roads is up to you and your right foot on the gas pedal.

Yeah I live in Manitoba and drive an RS all year round. It'll down fine as long as you don't have a lead foot

I drive mine year round (Michigan winters...meh...), and I haven't had any trouble other than getting stuck in a persons yard. On the streets, you just need to watch the rpms, not the speedometer. I read on another forums that with snow tires, They are actually quite good snow cars, but because you only have snow for a short time, a set of all seasons will probably wok fine. Or some rain specified ones? Either way, in the rain you won't lose traction until at about half throttle, which you don't need for 90% of your driving. lol.

the biggest problem is in standing water at speed. so in town is never much of an issue. on the highway i take it easy, and usually try to take the elantra, but its still ok in light rain.
