Thinking of getting a Camaro>>>
Hello to everyone,
I currently have a Lexus GS300 and am thinking of selling it and getting a Camaro. I want a 6 speed V8 of course, and was wondering if there were any years I should stay away from? I am looking at getting a Fourth Gen. There are several for sale around me and I just wanted to know what years had any issues that I should stay away from if possible.
Thanks for any help.

my first word of advice GET THE CAMARO lol next if you want the Z or the SS look for the LS1 not the LT1 the ls1 takes better to mods and is an all around better engine as for years everyone has there own opinion as for me i love the look and style of my 95 i love the dash and the rectangle headlights i also love the way the tail lights flow with the trunk/hatch
heres a good thread that went around about a week ago discusing the differences between the LT1 and the LS1

When you figure out what you want, go for it. Make sure you test drive though.
Look for scrape marks under the front bumper cover, missing pins/plugs and holes in the bodywork where pieces were held together or replaced with zipties. All of that screams body work.
My biggest turnoff when looking for Camaros is the plastic interior pieces in the trunk not fitting correctly and scuffed/chipped/scraped wheels.
When looking, look behind the rear seat for excess dirt and evidence of undesirable activies... Also check under the interior panels in the trunk where the sub is nestled and the spare.
Follow those steps above and you'll know how the owner treated the car.
