So i came across this car about 2 weeks ago and ive gotten a chance to look it over only thing i could find that it needs is Breaks all the way around and 2 tie rod ends. I also have a power steering hose leaking a little. Ive gone over it with a fine tooth comb because in order to have the salvage title made into a R title the car has to be perfect. It sucks i needa salvage title because the car has never been hit well heres the link where i found it! i only paied the storage fees and towing bill which was $1500

So, you really only paid $1500 for the car? That's not bad considering it was from Lititz, sucks about the whole process of getting the title worked out though. If you only paid $1500 and it only needs some brakes and a couple other small things, I'd say it's a pretty good deal. It looks clean. Might have a problem with the title issue if you ever go to sell it, I'm not 100% sure on that one though.

What sucks is the car has never been hit... and its clear to see it was taken care of i found like $1,000 in a couple bills from a GM dealership where the owner before me had work done to it. Does anyone know a way around a R title? well its a car i plan on keeping so im not to worried about the R title but i mise well try to strighten out the paper work why im at it. The car does need a little maintance. i already put Breaks , tie rod ends on it. Still wanna change all fluids, and the wipers dont work and they will need fixed.

Depends on your state. I bought a theft recovery car once, and because of that it had a salvage title. That's the way it has to work after an insurance company pays off the claim and takes legal ownership. Since it had no damage, the state transferred the title to my name with no statement of salvage on the new one. A title search would turn up a salvage history, but I had documentation showing why. As long as you have a paper trail and pictures showing why it was issued a salvage title, the car's value WILL NOT be hurt.
