Default TA's Progress

Well, I went up last night to do a little more work on the TA and had the GF helping me out. I got that picture of her on my car for u yenko [8D]

so the old cam is out, new cam is in, new timing chain is on, new oil pump is on, oil pan is torqued back to spec. I am going to run up to a buddy's and borrow his valve spring compressor because the thing I bought to do it just wont cut it [&:]. so here are some pictures of the car torn down

i should mention the reason she is down inside the engine bay like that is because she fits there.... and I dont, and the oil pump pickup tube bolt is in a really weird spot so i needed her smallness to finish the job

When I did my valve springs I had to borrow my friends spring compressor, since the one I bought was not small enough to fit under the cowl. The springs under the cowl can be a pain... I had one pop off and whomp me in the thumb. [&:]If it doesn't look like it's compressing evenly, then I'd try and do it again. But then again, I'm sure you knew that. Everything's looking good! When ya you going to take it out of hibernation?

That sucks. I think we've had 1 inch of snow this year. That was all from two days ago. Other than that, weather is hot, cold, hot, cold, cold, nice, hot, cold, etc...

they are tractek's, and they are the black ones. not that it matters cuz the color doesnt mean anything. they were the cheaper ones on the site i got them from, and they all do pretty much the same thing so i didnt break the bank on them
