Are you aware that you can adjust (with factory shims) your t-top latch strikers so that the tops will pull down tighter to the seals?
Also, make sure the bushings in the strikers aren't shot.

With the tops off, you'll need to remove your interior trim pieces, where the pins go into, to access the strikers. I think once you see them on the car, it'll make sense.

I appreciate this thread and have the exact same problem. I just brought an 02 SS home (14 hours) with t tops and it is louder then either of my convertibles have been. I was shocked by all the wind noise it in and was planning on there being less in a convert. I pulled my tops and put a dusting of baby powder all around the seals then put them back in. The foot print the tops left looks very uniform and tight all the way around them. The drivers side doesn't latch quite as hard as the passengers so maybe I'll mess with it in the spring. I'm also going to check the seal around the hatch close and see if maybe that is an issue.

 

Your tops may seem like they're touching well enough against the seals, until you get high road winds wanting to rip through.

 

Some time back there was talk of rubber pieces that fit at the front and back edges of the t-top middle bar. My 94 has nothing at either end of that aluminum piece but in my junkyard travels I did find one car that had a piece or two left. I imagine that the original purpose of those pieces was to reduce wind noise. I'll see if I can find the part numbers.
