Default Sweet smell @ 175 Deg F

Hello all, I am getting a sweet smell (coolant?) in my car when the temp reaches about 175F, then tapers off. There is no evidence of a leak anywhere (although I haven't check the tail pipes, God forbid). What could be wrong?

If you can smell antifreeze inside the car, then chances are pretty good that your heater core is leaking. It's probably not leaking enough to make a big puddle on the floor for you to see....yet. But it will. Also keep an eye out for your windshield to fog up when you turn on the defrost (another sign of a leaky heater core).

Are you losing coolant?

If your not loosing coolant, the smell could be the boil over of the coolant into your overflow tank, check your radiator cap, you might need a new one.
