Sway bar link kit questions
My 94 V6 has all the goodies including the salad shooter wheels with F41 suspension. As far as I can tell the important suspension items listed on my car's glove box sticker are that and FE9.
If you look at the Camaro parts pdf you'll see that the front suspension section lists two different sway bar link kits. One has no qualifier while the other is for cars with FE2, FE4, and FE7. Well I've already told you what is listed on my car's sticker (FE9 & F41) so which kit do I use? It gets better. Just a few lines after listing the two possibilities for sway bar link kits, the parts pdf lists the relevant option codes as: FE2 - firm ride and handling FE4 - special ride and handling FE7 - front and rear suspension, heavy duty F41 - firm ride/handling, front and rear What about FE9 which is on my car? Is FE9 even heavier duty than FE7? When I did my engine and front suspension work I installed new Moog sway bar link kits up front. For reasons I can;t remember I bought kit K5252 which Rockauto describes as the ones for front suspension "standard design" and rear suspension "standard duty, standard design." They also offer Moog K6217 for rear suspension, "heavy duty" and a K6630 for front suspension "problem solver heavy duty design"/rear suspension standard duty "problem solver heavy duty design." Confused? My brain is kind of fried at the moment. Do you think that F41 is considered heavy duty suspension? What about FE9? Do you think any of the the kits will work in a front or rear application, the only difference being how strong the kit components are (and how long the links will last.) |
id say just get some from autozone
