Swapping engine that's Automatic with a Manual, is it Possible?
I have two Camaro's a '94 and '95, the '94 I just recently added to the collection. Both Cars have the V6 3.4L engine. Here's more details on the Cars
'94
-Sorry for the double post-
-Thanks in Advance-
'94
- Good Body
- Radiator is Good
- Flat-Top
- Perfect Interior
- Flowmaster Exhaust
- Manual
- But the engine is shot!!!
- Body in poor condition
- Radiator has a Leak
- Missing a T-Top Window.
- Needs a fresh coat of paint because of replaced exterior parts.
- Mix-Match/Discolored Interior
- Automatic
- Engine in pretty good shape

So it's just a simple engine swap?

You are removing a 3.4 v6 from a manual transmission car.
Then you are removing another 3.4 v6 from an automatic transmission car.
the 3.4 v6 is the same engine regardless of transmission.
if you decided to drop the auto trans into the manual car, then things would change a little.

if you are changing the trans you will definately have to change computers as well as pedals, console shift plate ect.also '95 has obd-2 connector inside car while most '94's have obd-1.would assume there are some minor wiring differences

There might be slight differences in the sensors, but I don't think so. If all the sensors are the same, and the TB, intake, etc. are the same, then you don't even need to take that stuff off the engine when you swap it. That'll save a ton of time and money.
When my brother- and father-in-law swapped a 3.8L from a firebird to their Camaro (mine now), they kept everything together and it ended up being a bad thing because the Camaro uses a different TB (which has a different MAF sensor on it, and the cables to the gas pedal and cruise control were the wrong length, etc.). Just drop both engines out and inspect them side-by-side. If everything looks exactly the same, you're good to go. If anything looks different, make sure you keep the ones that go with the car you're putting the good engine into.
My car's got 290k miles, so I've been tempted to go buy a wrecked one and park it where I can rip parts off, LOL. If you've got two cars that are the same, definitely put all the good parts in one car
