Summit Drag Shocks. Any Good?

My current shocks on my 94 Z28 are pretty much shot and I'm looking to replace them ASAP. I was told by someone I know to get Summit Drag Shocks and they're great, but he's been wrong before when giving me advice, so I'd like to get some more opinions. Would these be any good? And about how much would it cost to have them installed?

Do you drag race exclusively, or do you care about handling?

If you want the best for handling, with adjustability, look into Koni SAs, next best SLP Bilsteins. If you are set on drag shocks, forget about handling!

cost 2-500 why not install yourself. do a search on installing 4th gen camaro shocks/struts, should get all kinds of videos and write ups.

I would prefer better handling, but at this point, any kind of shocks will do and the drag ones were only like 40 a piece at a local shop. But at this point, any shocks will do. Yesterday, when I was driving I did about 15 mph over an incline in the middle of an intersection and scraped the rear end on the pavement. I just want some that will get my car off the ground.

shocks will not help your springs. and the drag shocks are not stiff at all, at least thats how i understand it, they are set to allow the rear of the car to drop on takeoff so the weight is more to the rear of the car. on a 4th gen camaro the shock quality will dictate how the car handles and rides.

Trust me, if your preference is handling, then the lowest level you will be happy with is SLP Bilsteins or Bilstein HDs -- anything else is pretty lackluster... The SLP versions are supposedly valved slightly better in the rear.

drag shock will drop your rear end to the ground but they rebound quickly. they are ment for drag racing only. if you use it for anything else your going to loose control of your car.
