Default subwoofer in camaro

alright so I'm lookin for a way to give my car a little extra bass. I've seen they make custom enclosures to fit in your trunk on the driver side. It houses a 10" subwoofer; I was wondering if it really gives you that big of a boost or is that box too small to make a significant difference, thank you

Just check the size of the box and the manufacturer specified box volume. A custom box will perform the same as a normal box if they are sized right, unless you get it vented, but that is a whole different story. haha

the subs i use, i will never get the right size box in this car unless i rip out the back seats. I will miss a big trunk for subs. I just plan to have a small 10 now.

You can put some really loud systems in that car. Realistically you could fit a single 15 in there, but the box would have to take up the entire truck area that drops down. I have seen plenty of boxes for 2 12s that take up that whole area and hit hard. If you want loud and want to save space get a single 12 and get or make a box that only takes up half of the dropped down trunk area, that way you still have half of it for storage.

This is what I made for my Firebird. It's just a piece of 3/4" plywood, cut to the shape of the hatch, and painted with textured paint to match the carpeting. The section under it, which would hold the t-tops if you had them, acts as the "box". I have to say I'm really pleased with how it sounds. It can also easily be taken out if you do need to haul something. It may not be for everybody, but it works well for me, and people think it looks pretty cool.

I have a Rockford Fosgate P315 in mine BUT it wont fit in the back. It sits on top of the folded down rear seat. It looks mean, sounds decent. I do have a "stealth" box that fits 2 12 I just dont have anything to put in it yet. ha.

i have one of the 10" enclosure boxes with a t1 10. I am louder than most cars with 2 12's, the way it is setup, it basically uses the entire trunk to create bass. I love it and it has a nice sleek professional look
