what you want to hear and what you want the subs to do will determine what you want, the bigger the sub the further you will have to be to feel the correct bass note. a pair of twelves do great in the back well of a camaro, i didnt care for the backseat sound with the same twelves....if you want to do the back seat i would do tens at a 45 degree angle....

I too have tried both the back seats and the back well. I did this because I too have a convertible, and when you have the top down it reduces the bass a lot when the subs are in the back well. I tested both with a set of 12's. Decent sounding bass in the back seat. With the same 12's in the trunk I got a deeper sounding bass. And I agree it also depends on what music you play, and what sound your trying to get. Rock/classic rock and things of that nature would probably sound better with 10's. Hip hop/ techno probably would sound better with 12's. But that's just my opinion.

where im from there are alot of camaro's but most of them have 2 15's which sound horrible way too much. What I did I went with two 12's upgraded my door and panel speakers to better quality ones and added two 6'9 in my grill. sounds great real crisp

hatch will get you the best sounding and loudest option in your car, as for the square subs i could not disagree more. Square subs are notorious for breaking down prematurely. They are a novelty item. Just because it can get loud does not mean that its worth all that extra money. I would rather pay less for better 15s. Same thing for JL Audio.
