When I first got the car a little hose thing would pop off in the center of that but it wouldn't cause it to want to take off lol. I'm on my phone but I think I have a picture of it on photobucket from the other motor. Don't know if that part gets changed with motor or not.

But you's 3.4 guys didn't tell me to where that hose goes. Something down the line may not be working right. Vacuum hoses generally don't get blown off.....they suck!

Does it "suck" during cranking attempts or just when motor is running?

Chaotic94 Mar 28, 2013 10:05 PM

Well camaro69 it blows off while cranking. Not while running. Wouldn't it actually be pushing air while cranking instead of sucking air? Or no? I couldnt tell you where those vac lines go. One goes to a little box on the drivers side of the engine and the other goes to the map sensor I think. But I could be wrong without looking at it. It's been a while since I've looked at them.

Nope sorry one goes to te PCV Valve and the other goes to the Canister Purge Cont Solenoid. As shown:

Ah, then the hose must be getting popped off when the key goes on and the purge solenoid opens.

Chaotic94 Mar 28, 2013 10:29 PM

Yeah guess so. It's a common problem as far as I know. I know a lot of people who has 3.4 Camaros that just zip tie them on.

Goofy car! I bet you wouldn't get a poppin vac hose if you pop the gas cap off first.

i wonder if the relief valve for the gas tank is pluged. if they all did it then we would sure here alot more of it.
