Yeah I was wondering about STBs too. From anyone's experience, how much improvement is made?

it will tie the front end together paired with subframe connectors you could take corners at crazy speeds

I did just my BMR strut tower brace for like $70 before I did shock and springs and that improved my handling big time.

First thing to do for body roll is bigger hollow sways -- looks like you have a V6 -- so get some SS sways (Front is hollow, rear is not) cheap with some poly bushings for them both. You will notice a big difference over stock.

Next get an STB, you will notice it too, cornering, U-Turns, etc. But better sways give a bigger bang for the buck in reducing body roll IMHO. Of course the STB is easier and quicker to install...

Welded SFRs are definitely worthwhile as well -- better power transfer and cornering.

Then, if you really get serious, get some better shocks like SLP Bilsteins or Koni SAs, and a Fays2 Watts Link to replace the PHB.

Liberty I got a question for you. A lot of STBs I have looked at are for V8 will they work for V6 as well?

the thing to watch out for with stb's is V6 or v8...summit and ebay have a good selection. I'm not sure on 1998-2002 but I think the v6 and v8 are different.

They are different as the v8 sits lower then the v6. I was wondering that aswell but after a little research I found out why.

Generally you need a V6 specific STB. BMR and Hotchkis have V6 versions, 6litereaterdesigns.com does custom ones. There are steel, chrome molly, and aluminum available -- left to right is heaviest to lightest.

Also, 4th Gens have no struts, just coil-over shocks...
