Default Strut questions

Does anyone know the size of the nut that goes on top of the strut? and also what is the rubber part that goes between the car frame and the strut where the nut sits. I already dropped of the strut at a shop to get the coil/spring removed so i don't have it with me and therefor I cant find out for myself.

you weren't joking. lol if im paying that much i just bought a new one for $89.99 with no ripped pages. thanks for the information. i looked at the chiltons manual for my car and it wasn't as car specific as the manufactures manual.
