Default Stereo Speakers??

I just noticed that there are no speakers in the rear. The grills are there, but no sign of speakers.... not even wires??? Should there be speakers in there or was that a premium sound option thing? I have the door speakers and one in the hatch area,,,, what gives?

The rears should have 6.5" subwoofer speakers. Sounds like someone took them out. Did yours come with a factory amp?

you may have to take the panel off to find the wires. or could be po had a aftermarket stereo that was removed with wiring before car was sold.

My buddy's 94 Z had this problem too.. The base system had all four speakers but no woofer thing in the back hatch, the Bose system only had three speakers, 2 in the doors and the big woofer in the hatch, it changed in 95 with mine because i Have the premium Bose thing with all 5 speakers. When we put in a new head unit in his car a couple days ago we noticed that.. We're planning n wiring n some nice speakers here because it makes a HUGE difference n my opinion?. If you're planning on putting some in and you have the Bose system safe yourself the hassle and wire them through the woofer in the back like it was in 95, there's no room/wires for it in the head unit. Took me 2 hours staring at the wiring schematic to figure that one out lol shbox.com has the wiring diagram if you're planning on doing so

I would like to upgrade the whole system, but with a stock set up from a car with the 5 speaker system. My CD player doesnt work either... Radio and speakers sound fine, but adding the 2 extra speakers would probably make it sound alot better,

I still have all the stock Bose speakers in my car with the 5 speaker system... It sounds so much Better than my buddy's 3 speaker one. It will be well worth it. Are you going to wire it stock with all the connectors and stuff?

Not real worried about connectors... but Id like to use the stock speakers and amps if I can get them. For now though, Im working on saving up for a new A/C compressor. My A/C doesnt work and its been 100 degrees for weeks here!!! Next I need to look into the ABS Inop light. I need to find out who can scan it for me???
